The Interschools Snowracer Series

What is the Interschools Snowracer Series? 

The Snowracer Series is a group of Interschools style events held at various Victorian Resorts throughout the season. These events provide an excellent opportunity for competitors to extend their training, and race experience on interschools courses. The Snowracer Series is also ideal for schools wishing to conduct Interschools training and /or school time trials. 

The Snowracer Series includes a variety of Alpine, Snowboard GS, Ski Cross, Snowboard Cross, Cross Country and Mogul events. These events are suitable for skiers and snowboarders of all ages and levels of ability. Students may enter any of the events at any mountain throughout the season.

The Snowracer Series are organised by each Resorts Race and Event Departments.

The Interschools Snowracer Series Dates

Mt Buller:

  • The Snowracer Series - Sunday 3rd July - Alpine GS or Snowboard GS Online entry
  • The Snowracer Series - Saturday 9th July - Cross Country Online Entry
  • The Snowracer Series - Saturday 16th July - Alpine GS or Snowboard GS Online entry
  • The Snowracer Series - Sunday 17th July - Moguls Division 4 & 5 only entries opening soon

MT Buller Entries Due: 2 days prior to event

Medals will be awarded to the top 3 placegetters in each division (conditions apply)

Falls Creek:

  • The Snowracer Series - Saturday 8th July
  • The Snowracer Series - Sunday 9th July
  • King of the Mountain GS - Saturday 15th July

Snowracer

What is Snowracer?

“Snowracer” is a free membership program for Recreational Snowsports Competitors, developed by Ski & Snowboard Australia (SSA), the National Governing Body for Snowsports, with assistance from the Australian Sports Commission (ASC).

This program seeks to register every recreational snowsports competitor, in order to emphasis and promote the benefits and relevance of Snowsports within Australia.

Snowracer & Interschools....

The National Interschools Committee supports the Snowracer initiative, and each State Interschools Committee has moved to implement Snowracer into the new Interschools Online Entry System and the Interschools website.

The online entry system now includes a Snowracer Renewal System which allows Schools Coorindators to update or confirm competitors details from the previous year.

School Coordinators will be required to collect the following additional information from each new participant:

• year of birth
• postcode 
• parent or guardian email address

These details can be collected or renewed by one of two ways:

1. Online Entry System:

New Participants: New participants’ details can be collected by school coordinators, and entered directly into the Online Entry System.

Renewal System: School Coorinators will be able to renew and/or update Competitors Snowracer details by a click of a button.

Parents > please provide your school coordinator with any changes to postcode or email address to ensure your child is covered.

2. Interschools Website:

New Participants: Participants’ parents or guardians can enter these details directly via the Snowracer Tab on the Victorian Interschools website. School Coordinators will be able to check and monitor these details through the Online Entry System.

Renewal System: Parents or guardians cannot renew these details via the Snowracer Tab on the Victorian Interschools website. Schools Coordinators can renew memberships via the online entry system.

** Please note: Snowracer is a requirement of competing in any Interschools Competition. Snowracer details only need to be supplied once per year, for all events. Bibs will not be released until Snowracer details are provided. Snowracer details are due by the close of entries for the Victorian Interschools Events.

Snowracer & the Interschools Competitor.....

Each interschools participant will receive the principle benefit of a customised Personal Accident Insurance Cover for participation in any recreational snow sport competition throughout Australia, including Inter- schools, trials or clubs events.

This insurance cover will be provided free of charge, and will also include reimbursement for certain costs to the participant in the event of injury. Each participant will receive an email via the supplied email address, outlining their membership number, the insurance policy, and benefits.

In addition to the insurance offering, every registered Snowracer goes into the draw to win one of two seasons passes at an Australian resort of your choice for the following year. Further information regarding all aspects of Snowracer can be found on the website snowracer.com.au
